Nation's Premier Group for Best in Investor Education Continues to Grow

WASHINGTON, D.C.///September 21, 2006///The non-profit Alliance for Investor Education (AIE) announced today that the Financial Planning Association (FPA) is its newest participating organization. The 22-member Alliance for Investor Education (http://www.investoreducation.org) provides investors with access to a full range of information they need to make wise investment decisions.

AIE President Michael D. Jones, who also is senior executive vice president at the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), said: "The Financial Planning Association is a major and important addition to the Alliance for Investor Education. We look forward to working with FPA to further raise the bar for investor education in the United States."

FPA President Dan Moisand said: "The Financial Planning Association connects those who need, support and deliver financial planning. We believe that everyone is entitled to objective advice from a competent, ethical financial planner to make smart financial decisions. FPA members demonstrate a commitment to the highest standards of professional competence, ethical conduct and clear, complete disclosure for financial planning professionals. The association's individual members include financial planners, accountants, attorneys, bankers, charitable giving specialists, insurance agents, stockbrokers, money managers, investment consultants, broker-dealer and corporate executives, and others who champion the financial planning process.  FPA institutional membership connects firms that support the financial planning process to the financial planning community.


The full breadth of the investment world is represented in AIE's membership ranks.
