WASHINGTON, D.C.//February 16, 2017//While it’s impossible to predict the future especially when addressing the level of risk of a given investment, the nonprofit Alliance for Investor Education (AIE) is now offering "Investing in a Period of Uncertainty” at http://www.investoreducation.org/investinguncertainty.  AIE is a consortium of 16 leading U.S. financial-related foundations, nonprofit organizations, associations and governmental agencies.

During periods of rising uncertainty, whether related to geo-political events, the economy, or upheaval at publicly traded companies, it’s more important than ever for investors to be well-informed. No one can predict the markets but investors can prepare themselves for whatever the future may hold.

AIE President Don Blandin, who also serves as president of the Investor Protection Trust, said: “We encourage all investors to educate themselves as they plan for their financial future. Investment decisions can be daunting to anyone regardless of their investing experience or knowledge of saving and investing. Market volatility and uncertainty can make both long and short term investment decisions difficult. That is why it is important to educate investors about available resources that can help them make the best financial decisions for their long-term financial goals.”

The new “Investing in a Period of Uncertainty” section of the AIE Web site features the following 12 top resources for consumers:
